Developing Skills in Construction
As a company we are fully aware of the shortage of suitably qualified staff within the construction industry and therefore it it company policy to employ apprentices. We currently have four apprentices at various stages of their training. Upon successful completion of their approved training program they will be offered a position within the company.
Ongoing Training Initiatives
We recognise the importance of meeting our social responsibilities and addressing the training needs of locally sourced workforce and therefore participate in Government initiatives, which promote training for our school leavers and more.
The Engagement Gateway Project
This project seek to place young people not employed with ourselves and our partners working within the RCT Homes Framework Agreement to gain valuable supported work experience in a manufacturing environment and/or warehousing environment.
The main aim is to provide opportunities to develop transferable skills, life skills confidence, motivation and to obtain credit based qualifications, improving their prospects of becoming economically active and closer to employment.
Certification
John Lewis and Mark Anderson have been awarded the NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
